COLLIE MULLENS ROSE OF SHARON
Hibiscus syriacus 'Collie Mullens' is commonly referred to as Collie Mullens Rose of Sharon or Collie Mullens Althea. It is a tough, adaptable, multi-stem flowering shrub with showy, rose-pink, semi-double flowers with dark red centers and bright green foliage from midsummer through fall.
Collie Mullens Rose of Sharon is heat and drought tolerant and thrives in rich, fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is ideal as a hedge or screen. A nice bonus of Hibiscus syriacus cultivars is the ability to manipulate them into a tree shape for a more formal architectural feature.
