CHATEAU® DE VERSAILLES ROSE OF SHARON

Chateau® de Versailles Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus 'Minsyble9' PP31,152) is a large, fast-growing deciduous shrub from the exclusive Monrovia Chateau® series. This selection is known for its graceful vase-shaped habit and a long season of vibrant blooms. Its large, showy blooms are striking blue-violet, each with a deep red-violet center and a prominent stamen.

Unlike other Rose of Sharon varieties, the Chateau® series is known for flowers that cover the stems from top to bottom, maximizing visual impact. It has a vase-shaped habit and is an excellent choice for a hedge, privacy screen, specimen plant or large container. It thrives in full sun (at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day) in nutrient-rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It enjoys consistent moisture but not waterlogged. It is ideal for adding drama and height to the back of a garden border, creating a lovely flowering hedge, or framing a gate or entry. It is also perfect for large containers.
