HGC® CINNAMON SNOW LENTEN ROSE

Helleborus x ballardiae 'Cinnamon Snow' PP21,003 is commonly referred to as HGC® Cinnamon Snow Lenten Rose or Christmas Rose. The HGC® stands for Helleborus Gold Collection® and is a variety of Christmas Rose that are hardy, low-maintenance Helleborus that start flowering as early as November. Some varieties even bloom in October. These plants continue to produce flowers throughout the winter season unlike the Lenten Rose which flower late winter.

Cinnamon Snow features late winter to early spring pink buds that open to large, creamy white, outward-facing flowers in shades of rose and cinnamon with a petal reverse of dark cinnamon. The dark green, leathery leaves add a nice contrast to its showy flowers.

HGC® Cinnamon Snow Lenten Rose is deer resistant and easy to grow. It thrives in full to partial shade in evenly moist, well-draining soils.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in partial shade with rich, well-draining soil and a slightly acidic pH. Water thoroughly after planting and keep the soil consistently moist during the first growing season. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Fertilize lightly in the spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer.
