Zone: 5BRONXENSIS FORSYTHIA
Forsythia viridissima 'Bronxensis' is commonly referred to as Bronxensis Forsythia or Bronx Forsythia. It is an dense, upright, multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub that has an unusually low spreading, ground-hugging, flat-topped habit for a Forsythia. It grows to only about 12-24 inches and wide. It can produce small, pale yellow flowers in early spring. Its long, pointy green leaves turn purple in fall.
Bronxensis Forsythia thrives in full sun in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is ideal for mass plantings, borders and container plantings.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in full sun for the most abundant blooms; partial shade is acceptable but will significantly reduce flowering. Water regularly during the first growing season. Prune immediately after the spring flowering period to maintain shape and encourage dense growth; avoid pruning in late winter or early spring, as this will remove the flower buds for the coming season.
