Zone: 4WEEPING FORSYTHIA
Forsythia suspensa is commonly referred to as the Weeping Forsythia. It is an upright, arching, deciduous shrub with profuse golden yellow flowers that appear before its leaves in late winter and early spring. Its weeping branches can be trained to grow on support structures. Ovate, serrated green leaves fill out the plant in summer.
The Weeping Forsythia enjoys full sun in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is grown for its early spring color and is ideal planted in groups along borders, banks or slopes. Can be trained to grow as a vine.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in full sun for the most abundant blooms; partial shade is acceptable but will significantly reduce flowering. Water regularly during the first growing season. Prune immediately after the spring flowering period to maintain shape and encourage dense growth; avoid pruning in late winter or early spring, as this will remove the flower buds for the coming season.
