BABY JOE PYE WEED

Eupatorium dubium 'Baby Joe' PP20320 is commonly known as Baby Joe Pye Weed or Coastal Plain Joe Pye Weed. It is an upright perennial that is more compact than the species. It features purple-spotted, unbranched stems with large dome-shaped clusters of small, fuchsia flowers in late summer to early fall. It is a butterfly magnet, attracting all kinds of pollinators to the garden. Flowers give way to buff colored seedheads that persist into winter. Ovate, coarsely toothed, dark green leaves are held on erect stems that complement the flowers.

Baby Joe Pye Weed thrives in full sun to part shade in organically rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It can tolerate wet and clay soils as well as road salt conditions.
