BLOOMIN EASY® FIREFLY® BUSH HONEYSUCKLE

Firefly® Bush Honeysuckle is a star in the Bloomin' Easy® series, and it's easy to see why. This showy shrub lights up the garden with dynamic, season-long color. Its foliage emerges a vibrant amber and matures into a warm honey hue. In late spring, a burst of bright yellow flowers adds a sparkling touch, attracting beneficial pollinators to your yard.

This hardy, low-maintenance shrub is as versatile as it is beautiful. Its dense, mounded habit and moderate size make it a perfect choice for a variety of uses, from a stunning specimen plant to an eye-catching accent in a mixed border. It's incredibly adaptable, thriving in a range of soil conditions and remaining resilient even in tough environments. Firefly® is also deer resistant, making it a reliable choice for landscapes where deer browse is a concern. For brilliant, season-long color and reliable, easy-care performance, Firefly® is the perfect choice.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in average to well-draining soil, noting that these shrubs are remarkably adaptable to a variety of conditions, ranging from full sun to partial shade. While they demonstrate excellent drought tolerance once established, provide consistent moisture during the first growing season to encourage a deep, robust root system. Prune in late winter or early spring to remove dead wood or to manage size, as these plants respond well to rejuvenation pruning to maintain a dense, attractive habit. Apply a layer of organic mulch around the root zone to suppress weeds and stabilize soil moisture, keeping the material away from the crown to prevent stem rot.
