It boasts handsome dark burgundy-black foliage from spring to autumn, turning vivid red in fall. Bright and abundant yellow flowers throughout summer add a nice colorful contrast to its dark foliage.
Kodiak® Jet Black Diervilla thrives in full to part sun in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is one of the best shade-tolerant shrubs on the market. Deer resistant and drought tolerant, and ideal for erosion control plantings as well as borders and other mass plantings. This is a very useful and attractive landscape plant for sun or shade.
