Dicentra Ruby Gold is commonly referred to as Ruby Gold Bleeding Heart. It is noteworthy for being the very first gold foliage Dicentra spectabilis with true red flowers! This improvement over D. 'Gold Heart', features strong, upright stems and large, abundant heart-shaped red flowers in late spring. Lobed, maple-like leaves emerge with a golden hue in spring and matures to golden green in fall.
Ruby Gold Bleeding Heart thrives in part shade or full shade in rich, fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soil. Reliable, easy to grow and looks fantastic as an underplanting or in containers.
