PINK KISSES® PINKS

Dianthus 'Pink Kisses' is a standout hybrid prized for its exceptional floriferous nature and distinctive floral patterning. Characterized by semi-double, narrow-petaled blossoms, each flower features a deep magenta-purple core that bleeds outward into a soft, blush-pink margin -resembling a kiss print. Supported by dense mounds of glaucous, blue-green linear foliage, it exhibits a compact, mounding habit that rarely exceeds 12-15 inches in height and spread. It has a clove-scented spicy fragrance, a hallmark of the Pinks family, that serves as natural pollinator attractant for bees and butterflies from spring straight through late summer.

Dianthus Pink Kisses® thrives best in full sun and sharply draining, neutral-to-slightly-alkaline soil conditions (pH 6.5-7.5). Like most pot-dianthus bred for high container performance, its root system is highly sensitive to overwatering - crown rot quickly develops in soggy soils. To maximize bloom production and overall longevity, plant it where it receives at least six hours of direct sunlight daily, and allow the top inch of soil to dry between thorough waterings.

Planting Tips ⓘ

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly alkaline pH and provide full sun. Water regularly but avoid overwatering. Deadheading spent flower heads encourages continuous bud initiation throughout the growing season, while a light sheared pruning after the primary spring flush maintains a neat, mounded form and prompts a possible robust autumnal rebloom.
