Cytisus x boskoopii 'Boskoop Ruby' is more commonly known as Scotch Broom. It is a cultivar of Cytisus x boskoopii. It is a compact, bushy deciduous shrub with a rounded habit and small, oval shaped green foliage. Fragrant, dark red pea-like, sterile flowers appear on upright shoots in late spring and early summer.
Boskoop Ruby Scotch Broom thrives in full sun in acidic, loamy, evenly moist, well-drained soil. It can be drought tolerant once established. Ideal for garden borders.
