ABBY PAPYRUS
Cyperus 'Abby' (Cyperus glaber 'Abby') is an introduction from Benary. It boasts a rounded habit and decorative spikelets growing from dark green leaves. Makes a great filler in floral arrangements. Thrives in full sun in nutrient-rich, moist soils. Tolerates high water levels.
Cyperus (Papyrus) are mostly aquatic and grow in still or slow-moving water up to 20 inches deep. They vary greatly in size with varying stems that can be either circular or triangular with grass-like leaves. Many species have unique umbrella-like clusters of flowers at the top of their stems. Many thrive in a variety of habitats, including wetlands, marshes, and even deserts. This is a fun and interesting plant that will undoubtedly create a showy focal point for your summer garden or waterway.
