LUCIFER MONTBRETIA
Crocosmia curtonus 'Lucifer' is commonly referred to as Lucifer Montbretia. This South African Crocosmia is regarded as one of the hardiest cultivars to-date, and features flame red flowers on gracefully arched stems - perfect for cutting and attracting butterflies, hummingbirds and other beneficial pollinators. Broad, sword-like leaves are attractive even when the plants are not in bloom - adding a tall, textured element to your landscape.
Lucifer Montbretia thrives in full to partial sun in moderately moist, well-drained soils. In time, the corms will naturalize and spread, and can be divided in spring, if needed.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly alkaline pH. Water sparingly, as it is drought-tolerant. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Provide full sun.
