It has twisted, contorted branch growth with flushes of deep reddish purple emerging leaves that fade to reddish-green. It displays contorted, twisting branches, but stays more compact than the 'Contorta'. It has burgundy catkins that hang below the branches from late winter to early spring before the leaves emerge. They are great for cutting and ornamental use.
The Red Majestic Corkscrew Hazelnut enjoys full sun to part shade. It is adaptable to different soils and pH. It can thrive in city environments

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
