MISS BATEMAN WHITE CLEMATIS (GROUP2)

Each flower features eight overlapping sepals and a striking center of chocolate-red anthers, creating a bold, graphic contrast against the dark green foliage. Because of its compact growth habit, usually reaching about 6 to 7 feet in height, it is an ideal choice for smaller gardens, large containers, or training up trellises and obelisks where its delicate beauty can be admired up close.

For the best results, plant 'Miss Bateman' Clematis in a spot that receives full sun to partial shade, keeping in mind the classic rule for clematis: "heads in the sun, feet in the shade." You can achieve this by mulching the base heavily or planting low-growing perennials around the roots to keep them cool and moist. Prune them lightly in early spring by removing dead or weak stems, cutting back to the highest pair of healthy buds, and optionally trimming again after the first bloom to encourage re-flowering.
