BLACK BEAUTY SNAKEROOT

Cimicifuga ramosa 'Hillside Black Beauty' PP9988 is commonly referred to as Hillside Black Beauty Snakeroot or Hillside Black Beauty Bugbane. This dramatic perennial features the darkest foliage to-date for this genus! Striking dark purple, finely cut, upright, fernlike foliage contrast beautifully with its fragrant, white spires of flowers that rise 4-7" above the foliage and are themselves a foot long!

Hillside Black Beauty Snakeroot is deer and rabbit resistant and thrive in part sun in fertile, highly organic, consistently moist, well-drained soils. Best to avoid hot afternoon sun. Ideal as a woodland shade plant or in borders and mass plantings.

Provide partial shade, especially in warmer climates. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
