Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Torulosa' is commonly referred to as the Torulosa Hinoki Cypress. This compact, slow grower has an upright, twisted, pyramid habit with coarse, threadlike eccentric foliage. Lighter green new growth often has cockscombs at the tips of the branches.
The Torulosa enjoys full sun in rich, moist, well-drained soils.
