SPIRALIS HINOKI FALSECYPRESS
Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Spiralis' is commonly referred to as Spiralis Hinoki Cypress. This native of Japan is a very slow-growing, dwarf evergreen conifer that features a narrow, irregular growth habit with a twisted trunk. Its branches spiral up and out and may reach 3 feet tall in about 10 years, maturing to 8-12 feet. Foliage is dark green, cup-shaped and twisted.
The Spiralis Hinoki Cypress makes a stunning specimen for gardens, bonsai or containers. It enjoys full or part sun in rich, moist, well-drained soils.
