Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Golden Surprise' is commonly referred to as Golden Surprise Lawson Cypress or Port Orford Cedar. This beautiful Lawson Cypress is a slow to moderate growing conifer with an upright, pyramidal habit and golden yellow new growth that matures bluish green. It has a dense, soft, feathery texture and is ideal as a focal point for year-round color.
Golden Surprise Lawson Cypress thrives in full to partial sun in nutrient rich, acidic, evenly moist, well-drained soil.
