DOUBLE TAKE® PEACH FLOWERING QUINCE

Chaenomeles speciosa 'NCCS4' PP30231 is commonly referred to as Proven Winners® Color Choice® Double Take® Peach Quince. Unlike the old fashioned varieties of yesteryear, this selection has been bred without thorns! Similar to the other Double Take™ cultivars, Double Take™ Peach is very tolerant of heat and dry conditions as it pumps out the color! Large, double flowers are a romantic soft peach-pink color with a long blooming season - deadheading is not even needed.

Double Take™ Peach Quince enjoys full sun in evenly moist, well-drained soils. If pruning is required, do so after blooming ceases in early summer as it blooms next year on its old growth.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH, and ensure it receives full sun to partial shade. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering, which can lead to root rot. Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer in the spring and summer months. Prune in the late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote new growth.
