NORTHERN HERALD® REDBUD

Cercis canadensis 'Pink Trim' is commonly referred to as the Northern Herald® Redbud. It is a dense, round-headed deciduous tree that produces magenta pink flowers in the spring. It has green, leathery-textured leaves that are heat and wind resistant. They turn an attractive yellow in fall.

Northern Herald® Redbud thrives in full sun to part shade in average, evenly moist, well-drained soil. They are ideal in borders, woodland margins or as a street or lawn tree.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
