FOREST PANSY REDBUD
Forest Pansy Redbud has beautiful purple heart-shaped leaves and horizontally spreading branches. The shiny new growth is deep purple and matures to bronze-green when summer heats up. Before the leaves, rosy-pink flowers appear on bare branches attracting incoming butterflies. Fall color is variable, but often includes shades of red, purple, and orange.
Forest Pansy Redbud thrives in full sun with moderate moisture on well-drained sites. In extreme heat, it will need an increase in watering.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Fertilize annually with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer.
