CLAIM JUMPER™ KATSURA TREE

Cercidiphyllum japonicum 'HSLI' Claim Jumper™ is commonly referred to as Golden Katsura Tree. This unusual deciduous tree features leaves that emerge pink in spring and fade to bright yellow in summer. The more sun, the more yellow leaves turn in summer. Autumn yields sweet fragrance and a beautiful golden spectacle that Katsura trees are prized for.

Golden Katsura Tree has resistance against powdery mildew and is deer resistant. It thrives in full sun with some late afternoon sun protection to avoid foliage burn. Ideal as an accent shade tree or in privacy or hedge plantings.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in a location with full sun to partial shade, and ensure the soil is well-draining. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Fertilize annually with a balanced fertilizer. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
