KARL FUCHS DEODAR CEDAR
The Cedrus deodara 'Karl Fuchs' is commonly referred to as Karl Fuchs Himalayan Cedar. It is a large growing evergreen conifer with shimmery silvery-blue, pendulous branches with nodding tips. It keeps its attractive blue color for many weeks, becoming green only when hot weather arrives. It differs from other cultivars by having a trailing leader and pendulous habit. It has a soft, graceful appearance with longer needles and distinctively pyramidal growth habit.
Kashmir Deodar Cedar is a relatively low maintenance tree. It does not require pruning and thrives in full sun in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It will not tolerate standing water. It can tolerate urban pollution and can thrive in city environments.
