CANNASOL™ TENERIFE CANNA LILY

Canna 'Tenerife' is a vibrant, sun-loving tender perennial (or used as an annual) that brings an immediate tropical flair to any setting. Part of the CannaSol™ series, it is specifically bred for a compact, uniform growth habit, typically reaching heights of only 18 to 24 inches. This makes it an excellent choice for patio containers or the front of garden borders where taller varieties might overwhelm the space. Its standout feature is its striking bicolor blooms: bright, buttery-yellow petals heavily speckled with bold orange-red freckles, all set against a backdrop of lush, emerald-green architectural foliage.

To ensure Canna 'Tenerife' stays lush and blooming, place it in an ideal spot that receives full sun (at least 6 hours a day) to maximize flower production. These plants are "heavy drinkers" and prefer consistently moist, rich soil; they can even thrive near the edges of ponds. In terms of care, regular deadheading will encourage a continuous cycle of blooms throughout the summer. Since Cannas are tender perennials, if you live in a region with freezing winters (typically USDA Zone 7 or colder), you'll need to lift the rhizomes in autumn and store them in a cool, frost-free place until spring.
