Pearl Glam® Callicarpa x 'NCCX2' USPP 28312, Can PBRAF is commonly known as the Pearl Glam® Beautyberry. This compact Color Choice® Proven Winners® selection features an upright habit with purple foliage from spring to fall, and small white flowers that appear along its stems which attract bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators. Flowers fade to clusters of bright purple berries in fall which persist after the leaves have fallen, providing a stunning show of color.
Pearl Glam® Beautyberry is beautiful from spring to fall and enjoys full sun in organically fertile, medium, well-drained soils. Its best flowering occurs in full sun. Note that it blooms on new wood so prune stems back to 6 inches in late winter to early spring to encourage flowering.
