Buxus microphylla 'Peergold' is commonly sold and referred to as Golden Dream Boxwood. It is a dense, compact, low-mounded evergreen cultivar with rich, lime-green foliage with gold, irregular variegated margins. It is a sport of Buxus mic. 'Faulkner'. It is noteworthy for having better resistance to Boxwood Blight.
Golden Dream Boxwood is deer resistant and enjoys part sun and average, evenly moist, well-drained soil. Some protection from winter winds is beneficial. It is ideal as an accent or specimen or can be used as a evergreen hedge.
