LO & BEHOLD® RUBY CHIP BUTTERFLY BUSH

Color Choice® Lo & Behold® Ruby Chip Butterfly Bush (Buddleia x 'SMNBDD' PP32,399 Can 6,959) is a wonderfully compact Butterfly Bush with a height and spread of only 2-3 feet! It brings the best of both worlds together with a space-saving, dwarf habit and a plethora of bright magenta-red fragrant flower spikes from early summer through fall. Butterflies and hummingbirds will love the flowers as much as you do!

Ruby Chip Butterfly Bush is a sun lover so give it as much as you can in slightly acidic, well-drained soil. It can be heat and drought tolerant once it is established. It is deer resistant and ideal for cottage and rustic gardens.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in fertile, well-draining soil, as this genus is particularly sensitive to root rot in water-logged conditions. Select a site with full sun, as maximum light exposure is critical for strong stem development and consistent flower production. Prune in early spring to remove dead wood and stimulate vigorous new growth, which ensures the plant remains compact and floriferous. Water regularly during the first growing season until established and consider deadheading throughout the summer to encourage a secondary flush of blooms.
