CINNAMON CURLS® DWARF KOREAN BIRCH

Betula costata 'CinnDak' (RFM-73) is commonly referred to as Cinnamon Curls® Dwarf Korean Birch. This distinctly diminutive Korean birch has a rounded growth habit and a single stem. It features exfoliating white bark with showy cinnamon-colored undersides that curl into strips. This exfoliating process starts at a young age, allowing you to enjoy this special attribute without the wait. Foliage is light green in summer, maturing to bright golden-yellow in fall.

Cinnamon Curls® is cold hardy to USDA 4a and thrives in full sun in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It can tolerate higher pH soils without chlorosis.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
