Bergenia Dragonfly™ Sakura is commonly referred to as Dragonfly™ Sakura Pig Squeak. It is a compact, mound-forming perennial that features thick, leathery, waxed green evergreen foliage that turns purple in winter. Sakura means cherry blossom in Japanese and the profuse clusters of semi-double rosy-pink flower stalks in spring are as welcome as the traditional cherry blossoms! Flowers attract, bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators.
Dragonfly™ Sakura is part of the Dragonfly™ series of Pig Squeak and is easy to grow, thriving in mostly shady conditions in average, well-drained soil. It does not like consistently wet conditions.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in moist, well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Provide partial shade and mulch around the base to retain moisture.
