Begonia Whopper® Red Green Leaf is a top-tier choice for high-impact commercial landscapes and large-scale residential designs, celebrated for its extraordinary vigor and massive presence. This heavy-duty interspecific variety features oversized, glossy, shield-like leaves in a bright, apple-green that gives the plant a lush, tropical appearance. To help Begonia Whopper® Red Green Leaf settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly but avoid overwatering. Provide partial shade, especially in warmer climates. Prune regularly to maintain desired shape. A regular application of a balanced fertilizer every two to three weeks will support its rapid growth and sustain its heavy, self-cleaning floral display until the first hard frost.
