MISTRAL™ PINK BOLIVIENSIS BEGONIA

Begonia boliviensis Mistral™ Pink offers a softer, more romantic aesthetic while maintaining the same high-performance cascading habit as its orange counterpart. It is characterized by its dramatic, pendulous stems and long, arrow-shaped leaves with finely serrated edges. Throughout the heat of summer, Mistral™ Pink is covered in a profusion of drooping, bell-shaped flowers in a soft, luminous pink. Its architectural form makes it a standout selection for elevated planters or hanging baskets where the "waterfall" effect of the blooms can be fully appreciated.

For optimal growth, Mistral™ Pink should be placed in a location with filtered sunlight or bright, indirect light. While it is quite resilient, avoiding the direct, scorching midday sun will ensure the pink petals and lush green foliage do not fade or burn. It requires well-drained, porous soil to prevent water from sitting around the crown, which can lead to rot. In the landscape, it works beautifully in shaded garden beds as a groundcover or tucked into the pockets of a rock wall.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water thoroughly after planting and keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Provide partial shade to prevent scorching. Consistent moisture is key - aim to keep the soil evenly damp but never saturated - and provide a balanced liquid feed every two weeks to support its continuous flowering through the autumn.
