Azalea kaempferi 'Johanna' is commonly referred to as Johanna Azalea or Torch Azalea. It is a semi-evergreen ornamental shrub that features true red single flowers on a low mounded, compact plant. Its flowers attracts birds, bees, hummingbirds and other beneficial pollinators. Its glossy green foliage turns bronze purple in fall which adds to its winter interest.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining acidic soil with a pH between 5.5 and 6.5. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering.
