COLOR FLASH™ LIME FALSE SPIREA
Astilbe arendsii Color Flash™ Lime PP17816 is commonly referred to as Color Flash™ Lime Astilbe or Color Flash™ False Spirea. It is part of the Color Flash™ series that features unique bright yellow mounds of ferny leaves that fade to chartreuse as the season progresses. Blush-pink plume flowers appear in midsummer.
Color Flash™ Lime Astilbe is deer and rabbit resistant and thrives in dappled sun or shade in organically rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils. Flowers are excellent for cutting and it is ideal for containers and dappled sun beds.
Companion plants for Astilbe include: Rhododendron, Hosta, Ferns, Heuchera, Ligularia and Japanese and Siberian Iris.

To help Astilbe arendsii types settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in moist, rich soil with a slightly acidic pH. Keep the soil consistently moist. Astilbe arendsii varieties do not tolerate drying out and thrive best when protected from hot, afternoon sun in dappled shade. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
