Astilbe x arendsii 'Bridal Veil' is commonly referred to as Bridal Veil Astilbe or Bridal Veil False Spirea. It is a herbaceous perennial with a compact, clump-forming habit. It features lacy, pure white flowers in pyramidal flower plumes held on sturdy stems above deep green, fern-like foliage. The flower plumes turn a tan color to provide winter interest.
Bridal Veil Astilbe is easy to grow and pest free. It thrives in the shady spot of the garden in rich, organic, evenly moist soils. It will not tolerate dry soil. It is ideal for informal woodland and cottage gardens and is perfect for those special moonlit gardens.

To help Astilbe arendsii types settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in moist, rich soil with a slightly acidic pH. Keep the soil consistently moist. Astilbe arendsii varieties do not tolerate drying out and thrive best when protected from hot, afternoon sun in dappled shade. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
