ALPINE PINK ASTER
Aster alpinus 'X Pink' PPAF is commonly referred to as Pink Alpine Aster. This dense, compact, early-blooming selection has double, deep pink, daisy-like flowers that appear in late spring and early summer. Each flower has a yellow center surrounded by pink petals. They attract bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators. Foliage is dense, bright green, and has a low, mounding habit. If allowed to self-seed, it will produce successive generations.
Pink Alpine Aster is deer and rabbit resistant. It thrives in full to partial sun in rich, fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is perfect for front of the border plantings, rock gardens, mass plantings and containers.
