ASARUM CANADENSE
Grower Notes:

Asarum canadense is commonly known as Wild Ginger. It is a native groundcover that does well in wet soils in a heavily shaded area. It can be found growing throughout the eastern United States and southeastern Canada and even parts of Asia. It is not related to the culinary ginger. It features brownish-mauve bell-shaped flowers. The green leaves are kidney-shaped have the same habit as violets but are a bit more upright and larger.

Wild Ginger thrives in moist, shady areas that are rich in organics. Perfect for naturalizing as a ground cover in woodland gardens, native plant gardens and other shady areas.
