SILVER MOUND WORMWOOD
Artemisia schmidtiana 'Silver Mound' is commonly referred to as Silver Mound Wormwood. It is a popular, semi-evergreen perennial noteworthy for its fine, delicate, silver-gray, mounding foliage. It is the only Artemisia with a prostrate, spreading habit. It makes a nice, low maintenance groundcover that assists in shading out pesky weeds. Small yellow nodding flowers appear in summer, but are not as significant as its foliage.
Silver Mound Wormwood is deer and rabbit resistant and thrives in full sun in average, well-drained soils. It can be drought tolerant once established. It is ideal for rock gardens and used as ground cover.
