ARONIA MEL IROQUOIS BEAUTY
Grower Notes:

Aronia melanocarpa 'Morton' Iroquois Beauty™ is more commonly known as Iroquois Beauty Black Chokeberry. This deciduous shrub is noteworthy for it being shorter and more compact than the species. It can get 3-4 feet tall with an equal spread with an upright, mounded habit. Small clusters of white flowers in May are followed by glossy edible black fruit that are very similar to that of the straight species. Glossy green leaves turn a bright orange-red in the fall.

Iroquois Beauty™ is easy to grow and care for. It enjoys full sun to part shade in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. Full sun is needed for best fruit production. Great for shrub borders, rain gardens and lowlands that collect water.

The fruits of Aronia melanocarpa varieties (Aronia berries) have been found to be very beneficial to human health, including anti-diabetic, anti-infective, anti-obesity, and antioxidant activities, as well as for your heart and liver function.
