Zone: 4SPLENDENS FALSE SEA THRIFT
Armeria maritima 'Splendens' is commonly referred to as Splendens False Sea Thrift. This compact evergreen perennial features round clusters of bright pink flowers held on slender stems above dark green, mounded, grass-like foliage. This compact variety will produce hundreds of long lasting flower clusters from early spring to fall that attract bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators to the yard. Deadheading produces a second flush of flowers.
Splendens Sea Thrift thrives in full sun in infertile, dry, very well-drained soils. It can be drought tolerant once established. It is ideal for borders, rock gardens and as a groundcover for smaller areas.
