SERENITA® SKY BLUE SNAPDRAGON
Angelonia angustifolia Serenita® Sky Blue is a cooling and elegant cultivar, offering soft, lavender-blue tones that provide a refreshing visual break from the high-intensity colors of summer. It is celebrated for its compact, mounded habit, typically reaching a height of 8 to 12 inches with a slightly narrower spread. The delicate, airy spikes of flowers rise gracefully above slender, dark green foliage, creating a fine-textured look that is particularly effective in smaller garden spaces or as a calming filler in mixed patio containers. Despite its delicate appearance, it maintains the sturdy, upright stem structure characteristic of the Serenita® series.
Angelonia Serenita® Sky Blue performs best when situated in a spot that receives full sun, which ensures the light blue color remains crisp and the growth stays dense and compact. It is exceptionally resilient, thriving in intense heat and humidity while remaining remarkably drought-tolerant once its root system is fully established. For the best display, plant it in well-drained soil and provide consistent moisture and a balanced fertilizer throughout the growing season. Like its siblings in the series, it is a self-cleaning plant that requires no deadheading, making it a perfect, low-maintenance choice for adding consistent, cool-toned color from late spring until the first frost.
