PUFF® PINK WINDFLOWER

Anemone PUFF® 'Pink' is more commonly referred to as PUFF® Pink Windflower. It is from the PUFF® series of enchanting, compact perennials that bring a whimsical touch to the garden with its unique, semi-double to double flowers. These blooms feature a distinctive, fluffy center that gives the series its charming namesake, providing a texture that stands out among traditional anemones. The soft, bubblegum-pink hue of the petals is both vibrant and gentle, making it an excellent candidate for adding a pop of color to the mid-to-late summer landscape. Its tidy, low-mounding habit makes it versatile for various garden applications, effectively bridging the gap between delicate floral elegance and rugged, reliable performance.

For optimal growth, PUFF® 'Pink' Anemone prefers a spot that receives partial shade, particularly in regions with intense summer heat, as direct midday sun can scorch the foliage. It thrives in well-draining, moisture-retentive soil rich in organic matter; however, it is essential to ensure the roots do not sit in waterlogged soil during the winter months, which can lead to crown rot.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in partial shade with rich, moist soil. Maintain consistent moisture during the growing season and apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring to support vigorous bloom production. Once it has finished flowering in the autumn, you can tidy up the foliage by cutting back the stems to just above the basal leaves, preparing the plant for a healthy return the following spring.
