SNOWDROP WINDFLOWER

Anemone hybrida sylvestris is commonly referred to as Snowdrop Anemone or Snowdrop Windflower. This spring-early summer blooming anemone is a beauty! It features pure white flowers with yellow stamens, held above a low mound of ferny, dark green foliage which spreads slowly through rhizomes. It grows only 1-2 feet tall with an equal spread, making it a terrific groundcover. Flowers give way to white, woolly seed heads. Repeat blooming can occur when it cools in autumn.

Snowdrop Anemone is deer and rabbit resistant and thrives in full to partial sun in rich, fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soils. This pretty spring bloomer is perfect for spring bulbs as it disguises the bulb foliage during the summer months.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant it in well-draining soil with full sun. Water it regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Fertilize with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer during the growing season.
