LUSTRE ALLEGHENY SERVICEBERRY

The Lustre Allegheny Serviceberry, also known as Laevis Lustre Serviceberry, features an upright, open, multi-stemmed form with drooping white flower clusters in early spring. Flowers fade to edible purplish-black berries that are edible to both birds and people. Dark green foliage ages to a beautiful orange in fall. It thrives in full or part sun in evenly moist, well-drained soils. Ideal as an accent plant, along borders or for naturalized sites.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
