Las Vegas Hollyhock is deer and rabbit resistant and thrives in full sun in average, well-drained soils. It will not tolerate cold wet soils. It is ideal for country gardens and containers and an added bonus: Grow it under Black Walnut trees - they are tolerant of toxic juglone that is emitted through the trees' roots.
