AESCULUS GLA BRUTUS
Grower Notes:

Aesculus glabra 'Brutus' is a cultivar of the native Ohio Buckeye (Aesculus glabra), and its general care and features will be very similar to the parent species. It features medium green foliage which turns shades of yellow, orange and copper in fall and large yellow-green panicle flowers in spring. After blooms fade, buckeye nuts follow which are shiny, hard, rich brown in color, and poisonous to eat.

Brutus Buckeye thrives in full sun to partial shade. Partial shade is often preferred, especially in hot climates to help prevent leaf scorch. It enjoys moist, fertile, loamy, well-drained soil. It does not tolerate compacted, very dry, or very sandy conditions well.
