RED VELVET YARROW

Achillea millefolium 'Red Velvet' is commonly referred to as Red Velvet Yarrow. This is such a showy Yarrow! It features a stunning display of long-lasting clusters of non-fading deep red flowers that sit atop attractive ferny, grayish green foliage. Its vibrant blooms last from early to late summer and bring in all the pollinators! Deadheading will extend the bloom season and prevent it from going to seed.

Red Velvet Yarrow is one of the easiest perennials to grow and thrives in full sun in average, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soils. It does best in full sun, but can tolerate less. It can be drought tolerant once established. It is an attractive addition to the landscape in borders, cottage and rock gardens, and mass plantings.
