WHITE MANCHURIAN MAPLE

This broad, vase-like Manchurian Snakebark maple is unique! Its bark, especially on young branches, is chalky white during the winter months and has stunning white stripes on green bark during its growing period. Finely textured leaves turn pale yellow in fall. Exceptionally hardy. A spectacular addition to the landscape.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Choose a site with dappled shade and consistently moist, well-drained soil to highlight its stunning white-veined - "snakebark" trunk and protect it from afternoon heat. Dig a planting hole twice as wide as the root ball and position the specimen so the root flare sits slightly above the soil surface to ensure healthy root respiration. Backfill with native soil, water deeply to eliminate air pockets, and apply a 2-inch layer of organic mulch - keeping it clear of the trunk - to preserve the moisture and health of its distinctive bark.
