WRIGHT BROTHERS SUGAR MAPLE

Wright Brothers Sugar Maple is a fast growing, upright oval, deciduous, shade tree that is noteworthy for its resistance to scorch and frost cracking. Its dark green foliage turns more red than other cultivars. Sugar Maples are prized for their ornamental value and are ideal for lawns and parks.

Wright Brothers Sugar Maple thrives in rich, well-drained soil in full sun. It does not tolerate salt spray or areas that stay wet.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Select a site with full sun and well-drained soil to support its rapid growth and oval canopy. Dig a hole two to three times the width of the root ball and set the tree so the root flare remains slightly above the soil surface to ensure healthy root development. Backfill with native soil, water deeply to eliminate air pockets, and apply a 3-inch layer of mulch - while keeping it clear of the trunk - to maintain the health of the tree.
