LEGACY® SUGAR MAPLE

Legacy® Sugar Maple is one of the best sugar maples with its heavy crown, better branching, and dense, drought resistant foliage. Its glossy, leathery, dark green leaves age to shades of yellow, orange and red in autumn.

Legacy® Sugar Maple makes an ideal shade tree and thrives in rich, well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. This long-loved, majestic shade tree will provide a legacy of its own for its new owner.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining acidic soil with a pH between 6.0 and 6.5. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
